Law Revue Shenanigans

So last night was BC’s annual Law Revue show. This event serves as the schools moment to mock itself, its administrators, and anything else the writers feel like. All of us gathered in the theatre on main campus in anticipation of hilarity, and I have to say, the cast for the most part delivered. The boat cruise was seized by pirates, we learned that Dean Garvey’s perfect hair came from a deal with Satan (who’s actually a fairly solid dude), and we got a musical summation of the lives of law students, courtesy of my friends’ band, Youngstown Steel. The name is a lawyer joke, in reference to a case taught in con law about seizure of private property … yea, our humor died when we got here.

However, some of the musical rehashes set a record for hilariousness. As soon as I can figure out how to make this thing format shit correctly, I’ll toss the lyrics on here. Also, it’s hard to beat an open bar … that’s right … open bar. After the show was over, we mass-migrated over to a room set up for all of us filled with nectar and ambrosia. The fools shut off the booze at 12, but, being proper law students, we weren’t done yet. Everyone piled into cabs and decided to adversely possess Our House, a bar near where I live. The look on the hipster patrons faces was priceless as their bar was suddenly filled to bursting with drunk law students. What a night.

Meanwhile, zombie JD showed up at law school this morning as required. No brain-eating for this zombie though … he awaits post-tax happy hour and bloody marys. Three cheers for the start of spring break.
